Il suo nome d'arte è ispirato a Senenmut, personaggio vissuto nell'antico Egitto, architetto, capo di stato, consigliere della regina Hatshepsut e tutore della sua primogenita Neferura.

Meglio conosciuto per la sua partecipazione al gruppo metal virtuale Tenochtitlan, ha collaborato con numerose band come Bitrayer, Anima e Nitocryse.

Biografia[modifica]

Androsov è un multistrumentista e produttore a pieno titolo: si dichiara autodidatta, e afferma di non aver mai ricevuto insegnamenti da insegnanti musicali.[1][2]

La carriera solista di Senmuth ha fatto di esso un musicista estremamente prolifico, nonché un artista a pieno regime sotto ogni tipo di aspetto: laureato in archeologia, studioso e ricercatore, svolge numerosi studi e reportage su antiche civiltà, affiancate anche da una prominente carriera fotografica.

Questi studi si riflettono e influenzano anche la sua carriera musicale, che comprende una discografia incredibilmente vasta oltre che costantemente prolifica:[3] fino ad ora ha pubblicato oltre un centinaio e mezzo di album,[3] e ulteriori lavori escono con una forte frequenza periodica, anche nell'arco di uno stesso anno.[1][4]

Quasi tutti gli album di Androsov si possono considerare come dei concept album incentrati su determinate tematiche che abbracciano un ampio raggio di argomenti,[1] soprattutto a sfondo intellettuale: storia, filosofia, civiltà di vario genere (soprattutto egizia, mesopotamica, precolombiana, giapponese), spazio e astrologia.[1] Senza tralasciare che le sonorità di ciascuna opera mostra quel background musicale che si staglia a seconda dei temi trattati (elettronica e ambient sullo spazio, musica folk a seconda delle varie civiltà).[1] Proprio per la peculiarità di questo suo modo di comporre musicalmente Senmuth ha sempre dichiarato - in una delle rarissime, se non esclusive interviste - che le sue opere musicale sono indirizzate a un pubblico "maturo, ben educato alla scopertà della realtà circostante" e "lontano dall'influenza dei media".[1][4][5]
